We believe that between the ages of 2 and 8 are some of the most important years in a child’s education. We keep our class sizes small (not more than 16) which means that our class teachers can help each child to progress at their own rate and fulfil their potential.

We teach all National Curriculum subjects (English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Religious Education, Art, Music, Design Technology, Physical Education and IT), plus French and Drama. Sound foundations in literacy and numeracy are crucial for a child’s later progress and a high proportion of teaching time is spent on these two areas.

We have high expectations of our children, because we believe this encourages achievement. We do not, however, pressurise or ‘hot house’ the children.
