Knowledge and Understanding of the World - Children develop skills and understanding that help them make sense of the world. These form the foundation for later work in Science, Design Technology, History and Geography and ICT.

Many activities are based on first-hand experiences that encourage exploration, observation, problem solving, decision making and discussion. Outdoor activities allow children to have real experiences. They have a garden which they tend and observe and they have ninety acres of woodland for exploration and investigation of the nature world.

Computers are made available for the older children, using fun education software programmes to give a gentle introduction to using screen and keyboard together with a special children’s mouse.
