Physical Development -Children improve skills of co-ordination control, manipulation and movement. A wide range of activities are on offer which makes the most of the Main School facilities. These include two timetabled PE sessions a week in the Sports Hall, a swimming lesson a week, music and movement in the Ashton Hall and use of the Adventure Playground.
Creative Development -This area of learning includes art, music, dance, role-play and imaginative play.
Music – The children undertake a wide range of musical activities which includes one timetabled session with a music specialist, plus a singing session with the whole school. Nursery children participate in school plays and concerts. They are given opportunities to visit Music and Drama productions by the Prep School and often attend lunchtime concerts.
Ballet and Contemporary Dance are optional extras for boys and girls.
Art – Again, a wide range of frequent activities in art allow children to explore colour and texture. As well as the normal classroom activities the Nursery uses the Pottery and woodwork rooms in the Prep School. The Nursery Department participate fully in workshops given by visiting artists.
